Description: The rigid heddle loom is a great tool for exploring weaving, using up your stash, and learning something new! In this 2 session class students will learn to warp the loom, weave and finish a scarf. Our first session will cover designing, calculating, warping the loom and weaving. Students will finish their projects at home, returning a week later for a quick lesson on taking your scarf off the loom and finishing techniques.
Materials: rigid heddle loom with clamps, warping peg, stick shuttle and heddle hook; 200 grams of yarn- if you are using our loaner loom this will be worsted weight yarn, if you have your own loom let us know what size reed you have- for this class you can use an 8 dent or 10 dent reed.
*We only have 3 loaner looms available, if you have your own rigid heddle loom please let us know in the box above so we can save a loaner loom for another student. If you would like to buy a loom they are for sale in the shop for $209.
