Ready to weave something really exciting? Learn how to design the perfect plaid pattern and make it into the project of your choice!
In this intermediate weaving class you'll be guided in designing a plaid pattern with as few as 2 or as many as 6 colors in the warp and weft. Then you can either weave a sampler or start on the project!
For this class you must have your own portable rigid heddle loom that is already assembled. We sell Schacht brand looms in the following widths: 15" Cricket Loom, 20" Flip Loom, 25" Flip Loom, 30" Flip Loom.
You will learn how to: plan a warp & weft in multiple colors, make a woven sampler (optional), warp with more than one color, and change colors while weaving.
You should already know how to: warp and weave on a rigid heddle loom. If you have never used a rigid heddle loom before, you can take our beginner class to learn how (it's pretty easy)!
Required materials: a 10–30" rigid heddle loom. Yarn varies by project. Email Cleo (email@example.com) if you would like to set up a free appointment to discuss choosing which yarns and how much to get for your project.
For this class, you must buy at least 1 skein of yarn from Cast Away to use in your project.
Ages 13+ are welcome.
