Learn to knit a pair of classic, adult-sized socks in this new workshop! Make them short and cute with a rolled cuff, or add a longer cuff if cozy is more your style. You'll learn a world of new techniques in this two session class.
You will learn how to: make and turn a heel, make a gusset, and seam using the Kitchener stitch.
Important! The techniques are simple, but there is a lot to learn in limited time! You must already know how to: cast on, work in the round on long circular needles, (magic loop technique), knit, purl, slip stitches, ssk, k2tog, and p2tog.
If you do not know magic loop or decreasing, we can teach you either technique in a half-hour of either of our weekly workshops on Mondays and Thursdays.
This class has homework to be completed before the class starts! See below for instructions.
The first session of this class will be from 4:00–6:30, and the second session will only be from 4:00–6:00.
Required materials: 300 yards of sock yarn, US 1 (2.25 mm) 40" circular needles, three locking stitch markers, and a darning needle. We recommend Hedgehog Sock.
